{Blows the dust off} Whew! It\u2019s been a while hasn\u2019t it? Turns out I\u2019m not the best at keeping up with my blog. I\u2019m going to try and turn that around this year though. I\u2019ve already missed six months, but hey, better late than never, right? I need to update my 101 Things again, but I figured I\u2019d start out with something on a bit of serious note.<\/p>\n

My Plan (it makes me laugh to even say that).<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve always had a \u201cplan\u201d for how I wanted my life to be, at what age I wanted certain events to take place (I wanted to get married at 25, have my first child at 28 and my second at 30). Crazy right? How do you plan your life that way? Truth is, you don\u2019t, or shouldn\u2019t, if you want to keep your sanity. I\u2019ve learned a lot in my almost 30 (YIKES) years on this planet. And one of the most prominent things is that you just can\u2019t plan for everything. That doesn\u2019t mean, however, that I still won\u2019t try.<\/p>\n

I stumbled upon a quote that I have fallen slightly in love with:<\/p>\n

“Sometimes, before you make any plans or resolutions, before you declare your heroic intent to persevere, you just have to cry.”

I\u2019ve cried a lot (I mean a LOT), but it\u2019s not always before I\u2019ve made plans. A majority of the time, it\u2019s after my plans have failed to go the way I thought they should. That doesn\u2019t mean things haven\u2019t turned out for the better per say, but I\u2019ve felt a lot less in control. I have a thing about making back up plans (usually A, B and at least C). I\u2019m trying to learn that you can\u2019t always live in an \u201cif; then\u201d kind of world, but it\u2019s a lot easier said than done.<\/p><\/div>\n
